COMMERCIAL AND PERSONAL LINES UNDERWRITING MANAGER

Duties shall include but not be limited to the following:

Performance

  • Ensure underwriting tasks are being processed within our service level agreements
  • Ensure best practice by regular monitoring and auditing of work carried out by the team
  • Apply cost saving and efficiency principals to underwriting tasks were applicable
  • Pro-active performance management of team
  • Develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Build a team that delivers towards HRMS service standards and vision of being “Broker Of Choice”

Processes

  • Manage underwriting mandates/processes in line with insurer and internal guidelines
  • Identify trends and recommending improvements
  • Ensure that underwriting tasks are dealt with according to industry regulations and Hereford standard
  • Manage complaints
  • Compiling necessary report for feedback to senior management and insurers
  • Effective oversight of the renewal process
  • Implement and oversee client and policy retention strategies
  • Ensure records on CRM and Policy management systems are accurate and in accordance with agreed processes and guidelines
  • Design reports for the effective management and oversight of mandates, service level agreements, processes, and compliance matters
